Letter from Anne Kelly
"Thank you for submitting  to "Transformation, 2020”.  I enjoyed viewing all the submissions.

When I first started brainstorming the theme for this online exhibition,  I was originally conceiving of something in the realm of surrealism — and then it occurred to me that our current reality was / is / has been beyond surreal.   This is still an ongoing journey!    In the call for entry I wrote: the phrase “we are all in this together” is one that we have heard quite a few times this year,  yet I feel that everyone’s experience is unique.  Spending time with your images has affirmed this for me, but has also hi–lighted a range of shared experiences, which I believe has extra value in this year of isolation.

Being that the theme for this exhibition welcomed a wide range of work, it was a challenge to selects “winners" — so in the end I chose a selection of images that illustrated my experience this year – from the outside world to a more internal perspective…down to a new found facination with birds.

I hope that you will also enjoy viewing this collection of work.

Take Care  – Wishing you the very best in 2021."

Anne
